Korea- A country of peacefulness

Image
If I were to pick one of the loveliest and happiest times in my life, it would be when I stayed in South Korea. I never thought south Korea would be such a stunning cheerful nation. I had the chance to spend about six months in South Korea. This was my first foreign trip and of course, my best journey. South Korea is one of the most developed countries in the world and also technologically advanced country. Kindness and Culture:           As a foreigner, when we travel to another country, what makes us to feel warm? Is it the food? Is it the technology? Is it the facilities? Absolutely not! It’s the people who makes us more comfortable. South Korea is majority of people with Kindness. I felt kindness in each and every one I met, be it in workplace or outside. The culture is so rich and welcoming. There are mostly polite. They have a great helping tendency. It was because of the kindness of my Korean colleagues as ...

Balwangsan mountain (Yongpyong Ski resort)

Image
Balwangsan mountain would rank among my top travel experiences in South Korea, given the option to choose. I went on the entire day trip by myself. One of the longest cable cars in Asia, measuring around 7 km, was located in Balwangsan. The cable car ride to the peak took about 13–15 minutes. Snow was falling, and the weather was excellent, adding to the beauty. This was the day I had been waiting for to post the song "puthu vellai malai" in my status. Snow blanketed the entire mountain because it had been snowing all day. It also features a sizable skiing area where a great deal of people were skiing. The view of the skiers from the cable car was amazing.           I felt as though I was getting close to the blue sky after reaching the summit and gazing in the panoramic vista of the mountains spreading out beneath me. I felt as though I was floating above the sky from the top observatory since it was snowing nonsto...

Taebaek national park

Image
The greatest view comes after a hardest Climb. In the case of Taebaek Mountain, this assertion is absolutely accurate. Before the end of January 2023, I made this excursion. The wind and cold were extreme. The chill kept getting worse as I ascended, and it was really cold. Yet I was motivated by others around me. There were a tonne of walkers. The trail was almost completely occupied. The majority of the population was older than 50. Their fitness, consistency, and preparation astounded me.           Taebaeksan is a key mountain located in Baekdudaegan mountains chain which is considered as the backbone of Korean peninsula. Since history was written, Taebaeksan has been considered as one of the divine, numinous mountains. Near the summit, there is an alter where priests offer services to the gods of heaven and earth. Once we stands there, we will understand why people came up and built an alter there. It has been sa...

Busan

Image
Busan is one of the top destinations on my list of places to visit in Korea. South Korea's southernmost region is Busan. Busan is not a large city like Seoul; rather, it is a booming little city encircled by a number of islands. After seeing the movie "Train to Busan", I was extremely curious to travel to Busan using KTX train. South Korea has a high-speed bullet train called KTX. I choose to use KTX to experience despite the cost. I planned the trip and went on Seollal holidays. I made the decision to travel to Busan for two days, and on January 22, 2023, I set out on my journey.           I couldn't wait to ride the KTX, a high-speed train. It travelled so quickly that it got to Busan in about 2.15 hours. The train's top speed was somewhere about 330 kmph. It is vital to describe the train's magnificence. It was nearly like flying in business class. Everything was there, including outlets for charging devices, a d...

Gyeongju

Image
Christmas vacation time is here. I therefore made plans to end the year on a positive note. Traveling is one of the best ways to make memories. I made the decision to visit Gyeongju and Pohang which are in the south-eastern region of South Korea. My Korean friend who is from Pohang invited to stay at his house over the break. Thus, it was the ideal moment to visit and learn about Korean culture. Along with one of my Indian colleagues, I went Gyeonju. One of Korea's traditional cities is Gyeonju. It was totally filled Korean traditional dwellings. Gyeongju differed significantly from other significant Korean cities in several ways.           Gyeongju resembled a suburban town because of its extremely short structures. There were many open areas, which led to a lot of wind flow. It was much warmer than Seoul at 2 to 4 degrees Celsius (which had negative temperature). Nonetheless, it was chilly in Gyeongju because of t...

Pohang

Me and my Indian colleague reached Pohang in the evening around 8pm. We are invited by one of the Korean colleagues to stay in his home. I was so excited to visit a Korean home for the first time. And, it was awesome. I was heart melted by the way they treated us. It was so warm. The parents were so kind and they treated us like one of their family members. The rooms were so neat. Everything was perfectly organized. In the main hall, they had a bed on the floor and everyone sat on the floor. There was no high sofa on the main hall. I was astonished by the variety of foods they prepared for us. And everything was so delicious. I ate a lot on that day after a long time. It was a complete Korean traditional food with lots of love.           After spending a night over there, we had a breakfast next day in his home. His mother prepared tteokguk which is traditional Korean rice cake soup that they will have during the Lu...
