Busan

Busan is one of the top destinations on my list of places to visit in Korea. South Korea's southernmost region is Busan. Busan is not a large city like Seoul; rather, it is a booming little city encircled by a number of islands. After seeing the movie "Train to Busan", I was extremely curious to travel to Busan using KTX train. South Korea has a high-speed bullet train called KTX. I choose to use KTX to experience despite the cost. I planned the trip and went on Seollal holidays. I made the decision to travel to Busan for two days, and on January 22, 2023, I set out on my journey.

I couldn't wait to ride the KTX, a high-speed train. It travelled so quickly that it got to Busan in about 2.15 hours. The train's top speed was somewhere about 330 kmph. It is vital to describe the train's magnificence. It was nearly like flying in business class. Everything was there, including outlets for charging devices, a dining table, free WiFi, luggage spaces in each compartment, newspapers, novels, and more. The ticket inspectors resembled air hosts. The restrooms were immaculate. Because there were so many tunnel paths, the distance travelled was considerably shorter. I was almost shocked by how large the busan station was once I arrived there. It was larger than the international airport in Coimbatore. And everywhere, I was drawn to cleanliness.

Songdo cable car was the first place I visited in Busan. The lovely city of Busan is bridged by a cable car that travels across the sea. The ride lasted about 7 minutes. One might get lost in the beauty of the surroundings and enjoy the breathtaking view. A park with stunning man-made architecture is located on the opposite end of the Songdo cable car station. We can see the seaside pathway as we descend from the park, which provides the sea wind. I then arrived at Songdo beach. The beach was not crowded, which contributed to its tranquilly. There were numerous seagulls soaring all over the place. We can take beautiful shots here. I left this region after spending more than half the day there and went to Yeongdo island. To be completely honest, I didn't find many places there. I have taken walks along the coastline route and visited the Huinyeoul Cultural Village.

By the time it got dark, Busan's picturesque bridges began to sparkle with lights. I went to Haeundae beach from Yeongido Island. My original goal was to do cruise travel in Haeundae Beach. The cruise admittance was closed because it was late. Nonetheless, the Haeundae Beach itself greeted me with its dazzling light show. Celebrations for Christmas and New Year's were still going on, and it was fun there.

I returned to Haeundae Beach the following day to take in its splendour in the early morning. I could truly appreciate how large the beach was in the morning. I suppose it was one of the largest beaches in busan. I took a few shots before heading to the Busan Sky-X observatory. Wow, what a stunning view that was. The city of Busan and its coastline reveal their real glory from the 100th floor of the structure. I stayed in the observatory for about an hour, taking numerous pictures from the top while being utterly enthralled by Busan's top-down beauty.

My final destination was Haedong Yonggungsa Temple. I had heard that it was one of the seaside Buddha temples. The site was just as fantastic as described. Due to the fact that it was a lunar new year day, the temple was crowded, and numerous rituals were taking place. In my busan journey, it was here, I faced huge crowd. The architecture of the temple reminded me of entering a forest because the entire pathway was lined with trees. Also, there were a tonne of stores where one could buy food and souvenirs.

After spending some lovely time there, I hurried to the bus station before it became too backed up with traffic. And to my misfortune, I missed my intended bus but fortunately found another one right away (perhaps by the grace of Buddha) and made it back to Seoul. It was a two-day journey that was utterly rewarding. Although though two days are not enough to see all of Busan, I was pleased that I could see important locations and had a fantastic time there.
