Banpo Hangang Park

Need to relax your time with your friends and family? Here is the place for you. Banpo Hangang park located on the bangs of hangang river gives a pleasant environment and cool breeze that will help to relax one’s mind. I visited this park alone on Sunday evening during autumn. There were many people who came with their family, made a tent, with their favorite food, chit chatting with their loved ones.

The park was large enough, they were both walking and cycling paths separately. One can rent a bicycle to ride along the park. There is also a pathway along the river side where we can see the spectacular sunset (and sunrise). Since it was autumn, there were no canola flowers which was a disappointment to me. But the colourful floating islands spreaded the colours around the area. We can also see Seoul tower from the park.

One of the most beautiful attractions of this place is Banpo bridge where they conduct rainbow fountain. Banpo bridge is the first double-decker bridge built in South Korea. From the top side of the bridge, they conducted rainbow fountain show every evenings during March to October. The duration of this show is 20mins. And there are many show time slots available. This is the longest bridge fountain in the world. It was really beautiful to see the show on such a pleasant evening.

There were many food trucks with different cuisines. They had gigantic telescopes also to see the stars and other planets.  Few street performers also displayed their talents to entertain the audience. There was also LED moon candle (of different shapes) rented/sold in the garden to add glitter to the scenario. It was so lovely to see different people with their families and friends, sitting around the lake and enjoying the rainbow fountain and weather. One perfect relax spot!
